My sister-in-law, Sherry-Ann Ragoonanan, passed away in December 2014. She wasn’t rich or powerful, but she gave everyone she came into a gift. That gift was a strong sense that your relationship with her was unique.

She effortlessly committed to genuinely pouring into everyone she connected with, and somehow, their life would always change positively.

Her embodiment of love and support fueled my desire and devotion to the same.

Before that, I was part of a social group that hung out together. The intersection of this diverse network and my interest in community development led to the idea of something more.

In the spring of 2015, I founded B Positivo with the sole mission of creating positive social change by encouraging others to live passionately.

I rallied some friends from this Carnival group, along with the minds and spirits of folks whom I had known for years, and consistently added more new people to the fold.

B Positivo grew from being a group of friends who fete together at carnivals and parties to people who exercise, travel, work together, raise children together and even get married!

Most importantly, in our work, in our play, in our communities, local and international we commit to volunteering and engaging in philanthropic efforts; we are trying to make our world a better place.
